CNN's Lou Dobbs (Tuesday, March 3rd, 2009) ... the Oba-Messiah is laying tracks for the New World Order! Together with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, the Prez is going to "clean up the mess" we're in by forming a "global new deal" to "sort out the banking system." This will be "an enormous force for good," of course. (Did anyone get that the "very big hole we dug ourselves in" was created? Will somebody tell President Bammo?)
According to Senior White House Correspondent Ed Henry, the Prez did tell us that "prices are so low right now on Wall Street, it might be a good idea for Americans to go out and buy stocks if they're in it for the long term." See, he's trying to put a little confidence in "those sagging markets." The world's second richest man Warren Buffet made this same suggestion to unsuspecting Americans in October 2008, after which the Dow dropped 2000 points. (Thanks, Warren! You've got a lot of padding under you, no doubt, but not so for the rest of us.) Americans have seen the transfer of their retirement money and assets right into the pockets of other people. Money isn't LOST, folks -- it's shifted!
As housing and credit collapses, the men in the most expensive suits are talking about ways to "help" us ... but let's not fall for their ideas, okay? Let's think up our own.

"Obamandela"Â
In an essay entitled "Obamandela" that appeared in the March 2009 issue of Harper's magazine, Obama is compared by Breyten Breytenbach to Nelson Mandela. (Breytenbach gave a lecture about Obama at the Goree Institute in Senegal.) Here are excerpts:
For Obama these are early days. But already the tests are upon him. "I promise you, we as a people will get there," he declared in his victory speech with a resolute jaw, and people wept. But what and where is the there referred to? Is he suggesting that America will regain its predominant position in the world? To do what? To impose military domination in order to protect economic control ...? Will he allow the cromes committed against humanity (including American humanity) by his predecessor's administration to be brought to book? Will he draw common-sense conclusions from the fact that the financial system -- for that matter, the entire globalization project -- cannot be "fixed," sinice it is now clear that the unchecked greed and the frenzy of speculation and debt unrelated to real productivity will drag down the whole world? ... Already he seems to have ducked the first foreign challenge of real ethical implications, offering no leadership while America's client state, Israel, is ethnically cleansing Gaza viciously, bloodily, repulsively, and with the impunity of "heroes" shooting fish in a barrel.
... As I approach the last paragraphs of this essay, I'm driving through the dark streets of Dakar [with my] Senegalese colleague, [who] suddenly says: "But the American people gave a lesson in democracy to the whole world." How so, I ask? "Obama." He says nobody in Africa believed that the Americans could find in their hearts the maturity and fairness to elect a black man to the highest office. I warn that the proof is still to come, that the man may fail because the challenges are too overwhelming, because the people around him have too powerfully entrenched views and strategies different from his (I mention the Israel conundrum).
"Even so," [he] says, "even if he fails, which is likely, the historic fact still remains that the American people grew beyond their fears and prejudices. Their hearts expanded."
Implied here is that the election of Barack Obama showed an act of generosity and growth by America. That we have reached beyond our "whiteness" to elect a minority member to our highest office -- and no matter what happens, this will stand in history! Will the rest of the world NOT NOTICE how America continues to decline, exporting its destruction beyond its own borders, tainting the world with the seepage? For we are likely an experiment ... first built up into "the world's finest country," and then cruelly taken down. The charisma of Barack Obama and his "unprecedented" rise to the presidency may well have been created to hide all this.
